G21 Wired Keyboard with Back-light PRESERVE my expectation.
Having a 2nd hand Laptop is good for Freelance Data Entry job, but sometimes I need an External Keyboard to make my work Faster.
So. that is why I bought a Generic Keyboard to partner with my also previously bought Intelligent M-37 Optical Mouse.
The Sales Agent offered me a Mechanical Keyboard looks but with the price of Cheapest Keyboard, the he showed me the Generic G21 Wired Keyboard with Back Light option.
At first I was discourage by the design of the Keyboard that is printed on the box, a Round Keys, but when the Sales Agent show me the actual look of the item, OK It's a Typical Keyboard.with lights.
When I saw the looks, well its not looks like Mechanical Keyboard, the Manufacturer just remove some side cover of the Keyboard casing and shows the Keyboard's Membrane.
At home, to my dismay the Keyboard structure is so flat, there is no Kick Stand to rise the upper part of the Keyboard, it just depends on the small peg which is useless, so I need to put something at the back to rise it properly.
On to Back Light, well again what do you expect, you get what you wish pay for. By pressing the Scroll Button, the LED Lights will activate and there you go, 5 pcs of LED lights that is soldered at the bottom part of the Case.
Only 5 LED Lights and that's it, It's very very different from the picture on the Box and with the actual Item. The box show a very well distributed light to all keys, but in the actual item, you can see where is the 5 LED bulb and that's it.
For what I've got, you can see that the order of the LED Bulbs are Green, Red, Red, Blue. and Blue. because maybe they want to re-create the colors of the actual RGB Lights which is Green, Yellow, Red, Violet, Blue. They think, putting Red and Blue side by side will make Violet in the middle, but Sorry not with this design.
So far, Typing experience is tolerable, all keys are working properly and responsively.
CONCLUSION
Will I recommend this G21 Wired Keyboard?
YES, if you are in a hurry to buy a Keyboard and you have no other choice, and you are on a Tight Budget, or just don't care about the looks.
NO, if you want a Keyboard that will last for a long time, and if you type a lot your hands will get strains for sure.
By the way, I'm using this Keyboard while making this blog post, and I can get a hang of it eventually.
