The Internet Is In A Chokehold Because Of A New Call Of Duty Baddie

Valeria is turning heads and convincing fans that she should be a playable operator in Modern Warfare II's forthcoming multiplayer mode
One of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II's evident strengths is the characters. The game has snappy voice acting that brings its actors to life, as well as uncanny valley-shattering visual accuracy and outstanding face movement. It significantly improves the portrayal of these individuals and the plot. While you would assume the skull-adorned Ghost is receiving all the spotlight, Valeria, one of the game's new villains, is getting her due.

Valeria is introduced as the "personal sicaria" to the then-absent cartel leader "El Sin Nombre" a little more than halfway through Modern Warfare II's campaign. As the player, you encounter her in an interrogation sequence where you're instructed not to lie to her (really, don't). And she immediately explains why before grilling you on questions about occurrences from a few missions ago. Valeria, without hesitation, physically threatens one of her own men before pulling her weapon and shifting her attention to you and the other interrogatee with a joking "nios! ”
There is no doubt about that. Valeria, played by Maria Elisa Camargo, dominates every scene she's in in Modern Warfare II. Valeria's presence is a narrative gravity well, and she can bite through you with razor sharp lines of multilingual conversation. She also has an interesting history. Former Mexican soldier and former colleague of protagonist Alejandro, their chemistry is on spot.
Valeria is receiving a lot of love on social media, which should come as no surprise. Camargo herself shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the mo-cap, thanking the fans for their support.

And the affection is evident. People have declared themselves Valeria supporters, while others have demanded that developer Infinity Ward make her a playable operator in the game's multiplayer mode. Videos of her greatest sequences are circulating on Twitter and TikTok.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II may start slowly, but the game's second half is filled with unforgettable events. Valeria deserves a large part of the credit for this, and she should be a major part of the series going forward.
