Grossest Things Your parents does

We've all known someone who makes us think, "No, please, this can't be happening"

What Are Your Partner's Most Disgusting Habits?

If we're honest enough to acknowledge it, we all have some bad habits. We may smack our gum or belch when (we believe) no one is looking; we may even dig for nasal gold once in a while when the winter crusties hit and a tissue simply won't do. But nothing—nothing—comes close to the heinous behaviors of people with whom we share our homes. They are, without a doubt, considerably worse.

A recent work debate about the proper order in which to floss one's teeth (some say the gunk must be flossed first, then brushed away; others—who are wrong—say you must floss after brushing, or else you are "simply moving that same gunk right back into place") resulted in a startling revelation from one of us: "Anything is fine, as long as you don't do what [this person I once lived with] did." They strolled around the house flossing and ate the muck on the floss after each tooth. Sometimes it's best to look at it first. "Floss, nibble, nibble, nibble."

Needless to say, a slew of gag-faced vomit emojis followed, interspersed with "JESUS," "NO," and "I'm trying to eat, folks." Suddenly, the toenails my husband collects on the coffee table after trimming them didn't seem so horrible.

Living with someone exposes you to the good, the terrible, the hairy, the stinky, and the embarrassingly sweaty. With so many horrifyingly entertaining incidents emerging in such a short period of time, we now appeal to you, Lifehacker readers, to assist us in compiling the most complete list of nasty personal (hygiene) practices that undoubtedly made you gasp. Or you can cringe. Or force you to reevaluate your whole relationship.

Give us your hairy, loud knuckle-cracking, leaving-used-tissues-all-over-the-place battle stories, and we'll compile the finest in a future article so we can all feel less alone in the depression.
