With the release of Horizon Forbidden West, the following has grown with new fan-made projects demonstrating affection for the world of Horizon and its main character, Aloy. Horizon Forbidden West is one of the most anticipated titles to arrive on PlayStation this year, with a slew of thrilling new features teased in a Forbidden West narrative teaser published earlier this month.

God of War Ragnarok, the sequel to the 2018 relaunch of the game in which protagonist Kratos battles the Norse gods alongside his son Atreus, has also piqued the interest of PlayStation enthusiasts. A PC port of God of War was recently launched to much acclaim, offering the opportunity to tweak the game's accessibility features in new and innovative ways, as well as unleashing a slew of modifications that give gamers more fun to play with.

Fans may be wondering what it would look like if Horizon and God of War merged. One fan brought that notion to life in a post on Reddit's r/GodofWar, by portraying Aloy, the heroine of Horizon Forbidden West, as the new God of War.
TurfMerkin made a silhouetted model of Aloy, bloodied and battle-hardened, carrying Kratos' Leviathan Axe and dressed similarly to the Ghost of Sparta in the 2018 game. The post currently has a 93 percent upvote, with over 150+ comments complimenting the user's portrayal of the character, as well as how a great heroine like Aloy might fit into the wider God of War canon.

With the costume system in Forbidden West undergoing a major boost from the previous game, a Kratos-inspired outfit for Aloy might debut in the sequel. It wouldn't be the first time God of War appeared in another PlayStation game, since Jin Sakai in Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima may get Kratos-inspired armor.

While Horizon Forbidden West continues to build anticipation for its release, especially with new characters voiced by an all-star ensemble, it's amazing to see fan art like this. Plus, it'll be interesting to see the artist switch positions for the characters and perhaps represent Kratos against post-apocalyptic robots next time.

Horizon Forbidden West will be available for PS4 and PS5 on February 18th.
