Sure, there are obvious careers, but there are also less obvious jobs that pay just as well.
When everyone else appears to be making more money than you, the obvious question is, "OK, what precisely do all these people do?"
" Fortunately, Reddit has the solution. A recent post covered what people do for a living, and while some vocations are clear (doctor, lawyer), there are niche occupations that pay quite well as well. Here are a few examples of them.
Six-figure-earning jobs are obvious.
Lawyer: The average compensation is well over $100,000, though this varies depending on your level of specialty. The cost of being a lawyer involves years of school and training, as well as a high rate of burnout. "Don't go to law school," Reddit commentators said, adding "there are easier ways to make six digits."
Physician: Another obvious one, but with enough experience, they may earn well over $200k. As with the legal profession, there is a significant amount of training and education required.
