If the Students Fails in Class, Is it the Teacher's Fault?
A former English teacher, Hanna, shares her experience teaching digital marketing for three years and the challenges it presents. She believes that many children don't know how to read or write a resume or cover letter and that technology should be cut off from them until they go to college. Hanna, who has been teaching digital arts for about five years, believes that AI and technology are posing a challenge to children's understanding and critical thinking.
Ainsley, a high school teacher, asks Hanna about her experiences teaching motivated and bright students. She suggests asking students to write down a short response or five sentences to answer, and she would assign long-form essays. Hanna also knows how children write, especially when handwriting. She would run an AI generator to generate a 100% CAT text and speak to the student. If she had to do this, she would ask how much it would affect her grade.
Ainsley is taking the easy route by encouraging children's laziness. He believes that AI can be in the classroom in a very effective way if we teach children in older grades how to use it properly. If we allow them to use AI, they will not do the work themselves. Hanna is the product of getting technology and phones out of classrooms, so she had to leave.
Another thing Hanna is going to do next is work at a non-profit, DONOR RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT IN DIGITAL MARKETING. She is loving it so far.
