A Drone on Your Roof and 4WD Power – Welcome to the Titanium 3 by BYD

BYD has launched its latest electric SUV, the Titanium 3, in China, with a starting price of only $18,300. The vehicle is part of the Titanium series, aimed at younger buyers looking for an affordable yet premium SUV. The Titanium 3 is the first battery vehicle from BYD's sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao, which has offered two hybrid SUVs since 2023. The vehicle comes in five variants, with two rear-wheel drive and three four-wheel drive models.
The Titanium 3 is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo+, a unibody chassis that offers smoother rides. It comes with the latest tech features, including an intelligent all-terrain system that adapts to different road conditions on the fly, making it easy to drive in challenging terrain. The top-of-the-line Titanium 3 4WD Drone Version model comes with a drone hangar mounted on the roof rack that can deploy a DJI Air 3S drone. The drone can shoot 4K video with its dual camera system and take AI-assisted high-resolution photos, scouting ahead and surveying the surrounding area or determining passable routes.

It weighs over two tons and supports a 237 kW charger, enabling quick charging from 30 to 80 percent battery level in 18 minutes. As a BYD vehicle, the Titanium 3 has an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) called the God's Eye system, which uses multiple cameras and radars for automated parking, active obstacle avoidance, and highway navigation.
