LEAKED: All 15 McDonald's Pokémon Cards That Will Immediately Sell Out In 2023
The tradition of Pokémon and McDonald's teaming up to offer collectible cards and toys will continue in August 2023. Though not officially announced yet, leaked information indicates that McDonald's is collaborating with The Pokémon Company to release a fresh collection of 15 Pokémon cards. These cards have become highly sought after by collectors and often end up being resold on platforms like eBay for significant amounts.
The Pokémon Company has been creating promotional Pokémon cards since 2001, which were initially exclusive to Japan until 2011. The cards usually feature unique symbols and designs, adding to their appeal among collectors. In 2021, the McDonald's X Pokémon promotional cards sold out rapidly, with collectors buying boxes at a time and reselling them for hundreds of dollars each.
According to a leak reported on July 26 by PokéBeach, a reader shared images of the 15 cards from the upcoming (unofficially announced) promotion, which accidentally appeared in Germany. It is believed that these are all the cards that will be available during the yearly Pokémon event at McDonald's. In previous years, the number of promotional cards ranged from 12 to 15.
Here's the full list of cards via PokéBeach:
- Sprigatito
- Fuecoco
- Quaxly
- Cetoddle
- Cetitan
- Pikachu
- Pawmi
- Kilowattrel
- Flittle
- Sandaconda
- Klawf
- Blissey
- Tandemaus
- Cyclizar
- Kirlia
All Pokémon featured in this collection, with the exception of Pikachu, are from the Scarlet & Violet series. It's worth noting that six out of the 15 cards will be holo, which are Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Cetitan, Pikachu, and Klawf.
These new Pokémon cards will be available in four-card booster packs, which will be included with Happy Meals. Each pack will also come with a "Match & Battle" toy, similar to last year's McDonald's X Pokémon promotional event.
The release dates for these cards are as follows:
- Germany and Austria: July 27
- UK: August 23
While there's no leaked date for the United States yet, based on past events and this year's known dates, it's anticipated that the cards will also be available in the United States sometime in August. Pokémon enthusiasts in the US will likely have an opportunity to get their hands on these highly coveted collectible cards during the specified period.
