How Much Chocolate were Eaten in the movie WONKA

They even had a Chocolate Expert, just for the Cast and Crew for FREE Taste
During the production of the upcoming Warner Bros. prequel "Wonka" director Paul King revealed that there was a significant amount of chocolate consumed on set. In an interview with People magazine, King mentioned that they had an incredible chocolatier who created delicious concoctions for the cast and crew to taste. He humorously mentioned that he hopes to lose some of the 50 pounds he gained during production before the movie's December release.

The sweets prepared by the chocolatier exceeded expectations and tasted as good as they looked, according to King. While actors are skilled at pretending, he was impressed by the fact that the chocolates were genuinely delicious. However, the director didn't disclose the name of the chocolatier.

Additionally, King discussed a particular scene involving Timothée Chalamet's character, Willy Wonka, and his friend Noodle, played by Calah Lane, in which they immerse themselves in a massive tub of chocolate. To create this effect, they made a large vat of warm hot chocolate for the actors to use during filming. This ensured that there was plenty of chocolate around during the production.

In a separate interview with Rolling Stone, King revealed that Chalamet was his top choice for the role of Wonka and didn't require an audition. King only wanted to confirm that Chalamet could handle the musical aspects of the character. As a fan of Chalamet, the director had seen his high school musical performances on YouTube, which had garnered hundreds of thousands of views, and knew that he could sing and dance well.

Chalamet's enthusiasm and desire to showcase his talents further impressed King during their conversations. The actor had previous experience with tap dancing in high school and expressed a keenness to demonstrate those skills in the film.

Overall, it seems that the "Wonka" set was filled with delectable chocolates and that Timothée Chalamet's casting as the titular character was based on his exceptional abilities and previous musical performances.
