The basic model also has an EPA-estimated range of 305 miles
Mercedes-Benz disclosed pricing for its electric EQE car today, giving us a clearer picture of where it stands in comparison to competitors. The standard, rear-wheel-drive EQE 350+ is priced at $74,900 before taxes and fees.
The EQE produces 288 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque in its base configuration, known as the Premium. It also has a 90.6 kWh battery and an EPA-estimated range of 305 miles. If you can find a strong enough charger, Mercedes claims it can charge from 10% to 100% in 30 minutes. However, the same charge will take 9.5 hours using a 240V charger.
The EQE 350 4Matic begins at $77,900 if you want all-wheel drive. The more powerful EQE 500 4Matic produces 402 horsepower and 633 lb-ft of torque. This model begins at $85,900 and has rear-wheel steering.
A 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen and a 12.3-inch driver display are standard, as is a Burmester sound system, ambient lighting, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof. To make lengthy travels more tolerable, the navigation system will also customize your route depending on charger availability and the car's energy use.
The EQE sedan, like the bigger EQS sedan, comes with progressively premium Exclusive and Pinnacle trims. The Exclusive package includes augmented reality navigation and active ambient lighting for an extra $2,100. It also enables the Driver Assistance feature.
Meanwhile, the Pinnacle package costs $3,500 more than the Exclusive ($5,600 more than the Premium). It has four-zone temperature control, a head-up display, and numerous other luxury features.
Mercedes claims the EQE sedan will be available in the autumn of 2022, but given that it's currently November, that should be any day now.
