Continuation of X-Men: The Animated Series (1992)
A major focus of Marvel Animation's first Comic-Con panel was the upcoming X-Men '97. And even though we didn't see the entire trailer for this eagerly awaited relaunch of X-Men: The Animated Series, we did catch a glimpse of some of the numerous mutant characters that will be present. Evidently, Marvel is still very much in the '90s. What legendary X-Men tales will this new season of the series adapt? What exactly does the series add to the previous season's finale? We now have some crucial information about the 1997 X-Men movie's plot thanks to the panel.
Let's examine what is known about the new series' plot and the stories that it may adapt, including Age of Apocalypse, Operation: Zero Tolerance, and The Trial of Magneto. In the fall of 2023, X-Men '97 will make its Disney+ debut.
X-Men (also known as X-Men: The Animated Series) is an animated superhero television series which debuted on October 31, 1992, in the United States on the Fox Kids Network. X-Men was Marvel Comics' second attempt at an animated X-Men TV series after the pilot, X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men, was not picked up.
A Marvel Studios-produced revival, X-Men '97, is scheduled to be released to Disney+ in 2023.
