Meet Takumi Kitamura, the Live-Action Yu Yu Hakusho Anime Star!
The Yu Yu Hakusho live-action adaptation is being worked on by Kazutaka Sakamoto, who is best known for producing Alice in Borderland and is scheduled to debut on Netflix in December 2023.
During the initial filming in 2021, a photograph of Takumi Kitamura was posted online. Takumi was seen on camera wearing the recognizable green school uniform that Yusuke Urameshi famously wore. There was little debate about the actor's part in the series because of the way his hair was groomed to resemble Yu Yu Hakuho's protagonist. His part in the upcoming series has been formally announced by Netflix Japan as of July 16, 2022.
Since 2008, 24-year-old Takumi Kitamura has been performing in Japanese TV shows and motion pictures. He is 10 years older than Yusuke Urameshi when we first meet him in the anime, despite the fact that he was born before the Yu Yu Hakusho manga was serialized.
Can Takumi complete the task? In our opinion, yes. Over the past few years, Takumi has accepted progressively more challenging tasks and excelled in them. He is best known for playing the title character Takemichi Hanagaki in the popular television series Tokyo Revengers.
