The 'Riverdale' and '1883' actors will play the key roles in the HBO Max feature
The live-action Wonder Twins have been discovered by DC. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Warner Bros. has cast KJ Apa and Isabel May in the HBO Max drama.
Wonder Twins is written and directed by Adam Sztykiel, who worked on the script for Dwayne Johnson's forthcoming Black Adam. Temple Hill's Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are producing.
The Wonder Twins are a pair of extraterrestrial siblings called Zan and Jayna who first appeared in Hanna-1970s Barbera's The All-New Super Friends Hour as the juvenile companions of elder heroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. They later appeared in the Super Friends comic book and were eventually included into DC's bigger world. Their slogan is "Wonder Twin power, activate!" ", with Jayna transforming into animals and Zan transforming into water. They have been the target of innumerable memes and jokes in the age of the Internet.
Warner Bros. just released The Batman, and the animated DC League of Super-Pets is set to arrive on July 19, followed by Black Adam (October 21) and Shazam! The Gods' Fury (Dec. 16).
Apa gained to prominence on The CW's Riverdale as comic book character Archie Andrews, and she will also feature in Michael Bay's pandemic thriller Songbird in 2020. May is most remembered for her role as Elsa Dutton in the Yellowstone prequel 1883.
UTA, Matt Luber, and Jackoway Austen represent Apa. Coronel Group and Felker Toczek represent May.
