Valorant is getting set to announce its newest Agent, a Filipino dubbed Neon
FIRST hinted at the Valorant Champions Tour global series in Berlin, Valorant developer Riot Games appears to be getting set to unveil its newest Agent, the 18th playable character for the popular multiplayer first-person shooter.
Right before Christmas, Valorant producer John Goscicki seemed to reveal that this new character will be Filipino, as he teased their next new Agent with the words: "Mga kaibigan ko..."
Goscicki defined the impending new agent as a figure "who can outperform the rest of the roster, stunning the competitors, and slipping directly into the battle" in his December State of the Agents blog.
"Maraming salamat" he concluded.
Valorant confirms the leaked Neon art on Twitter.
The Amazon Prime Gaming website briefly revealed an image of this new Agent, whose name appears to be Neon, on New Year's Eve. The photograph was quickly removed from the site, but not before leakers had it.
On New Year's Day, the official Valorant Twitter account announced that this art was actually official.
Looks like some of you might be faster than our next Agent. Here's an uncropped version to share.
