LazTalent: Laz Get Famous Contest Mechanics:
A. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN LAZTALENT: LAZ GET FAMOUS CONTEST
1. Create a LazTalent account through the ‘Join Now’ banner in the LazLive Channel from April 24-May 1, 2020 eligible to join the LazTalent: Laz Get Famous Contest.
2. Register your account either by SMS, E-mail, or thru Facebook and verify your account.
3. Once your account has been verified, click the ‘JOIN LAZTALENT NOW’ button on the bottom of the page.
4. In the next page, provide your details; Full Name and Mobile Number. Given that this is linked to the participant’s Lazada Buyer Account, only their full name and mobile number is required at this time.
5. After, click ‘Record a Trial Livestream’ to begin your audition video. The livestream should be at least 1 minute long.
To qualify to join the contest, the participant must answer the following questions and the his/her overall performance will be judged using the scorecard and is 40% of the judging criteria to be selected as one of the 60 finalists.
1. Introduce yourself
2. Why do you deserve to be one of the LazTalent Contestants?
3. Why do you love Lazada?
4. Show off a unique talent/skill
5. Once you have finished recording your trial livestream, you will see the link to the Terms and Conditions for your review. You need to click the link and read the entire Terms and Conditions. If you agree, tick the box signifying that you understand and agree to the terms and press the ‘SIGN UP’ button.
6. Once you successfully submitted your trial livestream. You will be directed to a page with a QR code to join our Viber LazTalent chat room.
You will receive this notification once your Trial Livestream is approved and you can move forward to doing the Livestreaming Challenge from May 2-8, 2020 (Saturday-Friday), which is 60% of the judging criteria to be considered as one of the Top 60 contestants.
8. You will be redirected to the LazTalent page and will be able to do regular livestreams that will appear in the LazLive Channel.
a. Doing a Livestream Session
· Click “My Livestreams” in Laz Talent or the “LazLive” Icon in the Account Page
· Click “Manage Products” in Laz Talent to select products you want to add to your livestream. Add the products to your Wishlist and it will automatically appear in the “Wishlist” tab
· Click Create Foreshow Link and fill up the details needed to start Livestream
*Products that can be featured by a customer will be based from the Campaign products set by the Livestream Team*
9. The Livestreaming Challenge will take place from May 2-8 (Saturday-Friday) and the participant must meet the requirements to be considered and judged for the LazTalent: Laz Get Famous Contest.
§ Minimum Number of Sessions per Week: 5 Sessions
§ Per Session Duration: 30 Minutes
The top performers will be considered for the LazTalent: Laz Get Famous Contest and scored accordingly. Furthermore, all Participants who will successfully complete the Livestreaming Challenge, will receive an automatic notification regarding on the crediting of P 1,000 Lazada Wallet Credits to their account on May 8, 2020, regardless if they make it to the LazTalent: Laz Get Famous Contest or not.
10. The top 60 contestants based on the criteria mentioned above (60% Livestreaming Challenge Performance and 40% Trial Video Performance) will be informed regarding the results on May 13, 2020 (Wednesday) via the Viber Group that is linked to the LazTalent page (via QR code).
B. LAZTALENT: LAZ GET FAMOUS CONTEST PROPER
1. The 60 selected finalists must adhere to the LazTalent Participant Terms and Conditions found below and must submit a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement on May 14 (Thursday), on or before 12 noon, to Ms. Angela Gando at email address: angela.gando@lazada.com.ph, to secure their slot as a contestant.
Failure to do so will result in forfeiture in their slot. The next highest-ranking participant will be considered for the slot in the contest.
2. On May 15 (Friday), the final 60 contestants will be assigned to a mentor (15 contestants per mentor) who will guide them throughout their 6-week journey and will be given their first weekly challenge that will commence on May 16, 2020 (Saturday).
3. Per week from May 16-June 19, 2020, there will be weekly challenges related to one category per week following the schedule below and will entail the following activities/tasks to be done:
- May 16-22: Groceries & Home Essentials
- May 23-29: Health, Beauty, & Personal Care
- May 30-June 5: Fashion
- June 6-June 12: Home & Living
- June 13-19: Electronics and Personal Branding Video Project
4. Each weekly challenge will require the contestants to do daily sessions from Saturday-Friday or a total of 7 livestream sessions to be judged and scored based on the following criteria.
5. Failure to meet the minimum weekly requirements will not lead to elimination. However, the participant’s performance will be scored as ‘0’ and will affect the overall judging in the final week.
6. During the weekly recap episode every Sunday at 12 NN on the LazLive channel, which will take place on May 24, May 31, June 7, and 14 the top 10 contestants per week will be identified and awarded with P 1,000 Lazada Wallet Credits each.
7. For the final week of the competition from June 12-19, 2020, aside from the weekly challenge the contestants will asked to create a 60-second Personal Branding Video highlighting why they should be one of the next LazLive Stars. There is a score card for judging the Personal Branding Video Project.
Failure to submit the video on or before June 19, 12 NN, will lead to a score of ‘0’.
8. On the finale episode on June 21, the top 5 contestants will be announced based on their overall performance for the past 5 weeks and the personal branding video project with the breakdown being 90% and 10% respectively.
C. PRIZES FOR THE TOP 5 LAZTALENT: LAZ GET FAMOUS CONTEST FINALISTS
9. The top 5 contestants will be the LazLive Stars and will receive the following:
a. ₱ 50,000 in cash
b. A contract with Lazada E-Services Philippines Inc. as a talent included in the Seller Market Place and Affiliate Marketing Pool of Talents
LAZTALENT TERMS OF PARTICIPATION
1. Terms
1.1. By participating in LazTalent (“Activity”), you (or the “Customer”) agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out herein (the “Terms”), in addition to the Terms of Use for the Platform, and the Lazada Content Terms of Service which are incorporated by reference into these Terms. For the avoidance of doubt, capitalized terms used and not defined herein have the same meaning as given to such terms in the Terms of Use. In the event of a conflict between the provisions of these Terms and/or the Terms of Use, the provisions of these Terms shall prevail to the extent of such conflict.
2. Conditions
2.1. The Activity is only available to Customers who are eligible users (“Eligible Users”). An Eligible User is a Customer who has installed the Lazada mobile application and registered for a Lazada customer account with Lazada E-Services Philippines, Inc. (“Lazada”), and who has met all the qualification requirements and criteria provided by Lazada. Eligible Users will only be able to participate in the Activity on the LAZADA mobile app after they have logged in.
2.2 The specific rules on how to take part in the Activity can be accessed at the “How to Participate” page.
3. Your Obligations
3.1. You acknowledge and agree that:
3.1.1. You shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations to the fullest extent when participating in the Activity.
3.1.2. You shall comply with all instructions issued by Lazada in relation to the Activity, and you shall not, as part of your participation in the Activity, breach any of these terms.
3.1.3. You are responsible for all information (including information of third parties) that you communicate, submit, transmit or otherwise make available during your participation in the Activity to Lazada,.
3.1.4. You shall not participate in the Activity or permit the participation in the Activity in any manner which may adversely affect other customers' participation in the Activity or the goodwill or reputation of Lazada.
3.1.5. You shall not participate in the Activity in a fraudulent manner, including but not limited to participating in the Activity with more than one customer account or copying another person’s Activity entry. Each Eligible User can only participate with one customer account.
3.1.6. You are responsible for complying with the “How to Participate” rules, these Terms, and the Terms of Use.
3.1.7. Participation in the Activity shall be deemed to constitute your unconditional and irrevocable acceptance of these Terms, the Terms of Use, and any other such terms as may be notified to you by Lazada from time to time.
3.1.8. Lazada, to the fullest extent permitted by law, excludes all warranties, rights and remedies (including warranties implied by statute or otherwise) that you would otherwise be entitled to by applicable law.
3.2. Where Lazada deems that you have breached of any of these Terms, or otherwise fraudulently participated in the Activity, it reserves the right to:
3.2.1. prevent or restrict access of any Customer to the Activity, the Lazada mobile application, or any of the Lazada Platforms; or
3.2.2 report any activity it suspects to be in violation of any applicable law, statute or regulation to the appropriate authorities and to co-operate with such authorities.
4. Availability of Prizes
4.1. You acknowledge that the availability of the prizes awarded in the Activity is subject to:
4.1.1. the availability and functionality of resources including, without limitation, the availability and functionality of the Platform; and
4.1.2. the capability of Lazada’s systems at the time and location when the Activity is due to be operated or run for Eligible Users.
4.2. You accept that Lazada shall not be responsible to you for any loss, damage, fine, regulatory action, claim or compensation of whatever nature arising from or related to the Activity (“Liabilities”) including but not limited to (i) your breach of these Terms, (ii) any alleged unauthorised transactions, disruptions, errors, defects or unavailability of the Activity, or (iii) any loss of data or damage to any of your mobile equipment, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. In the event that any Liabilities are not excluded by the foregoing in this Clause, Lazada’s maximum aggregate liability to you in respect of such Liabilities, whether under all applicable laws of contract, tort or otherwise, shall be Php 2,000.00, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
4.3. Lazada does not make any warranty or representation or undertaking on the performance and capability of the Platform, the Activity and/or any software or hardware the Activity, or the reliability or quality of the underlying telecommunications network accessed by you using the Activity.
4.4. The prizes in the form of Lazada Wallet Credits and/or vouchers are valid for a period of one (1) year from issuance thereof. The prizes are also subject to the Lazada Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Voucher Terms and Conditions.
5. Data Collected by Lazada
5.1. When you participate in the Activity, we may collect information from you, which may include personal information such as photographs, videos, name and username that you may upload, provide or use.
5.2. Any personal information that we collect may be used by us, or shared with or transferred to third parties (including related companies, third party service providers, and other Eligible Users), to organize, conduct, or facilitate the Activity as per the How to Participate rules, these Terms, and the Terms of Use. Lazada may display any personal information that it collects from you on a leaderboard within the Lazada Platform to display the rankings of the participants and/or results of the Activity. When you share, feature or process any personal information of any third party, you warrant that you have acquired the express consent of said third party.
5.3. For the avoidance of doubt, the Privacy Policy shall apply to all personal information referred to under these Terms.
6. Miscellaneous
6.1. Any Clause in these Terms, the Terms of Use, Lazada Content Terms of Service, the Standard Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy as well as such other terms and conditions as may be agreed or accepted by you, that are invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall be enforced as far as possible in accordance with its terms, but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the enforceability of any other Clauses, terms and/or conditions which Clauses, terms and/or conditions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6.2. Lazada reserves the sole right to alter, modify, add to or otherwise vary these Terms from time to time, and in such manner as Lazada deems appropriate. In the event of variation of these Terms, if you continue to participate in the Activity thereafter, you shall be bound by the Terms as so amended and shall be deemed to have accepted the Terms as so amended.
Lazada shall not be liable for non-performance, error, interruption or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms (or any part thereof) or for any inaccuracy, unreliability or unsuitability of the Activity if this is due, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly to an event or failure which is beyond Lazada’s reasonable control.
