The event runs from April 29 to May 12, 2025, featuring four Overwatch heroes receiving legendary skins inspired by famous Gundam Wing mobile suits. These skins are designed with intricate details and Easter eggs for Gundam fans, including custom animations and lobby art by an official Gundam model kit illustrator. Players can purchase skins individually (2,800 Overwatch Coins each) or as a bundle (5,900 Coins). Special event challenges offer exclusive Gundam Wing-themed rewards, such as the "Shinigami" title and "Zero System" spray, adding further customization and engagement for players. The event also features unique lobby art and visual updates inspired by Gunpla (Gundam model kits). The Overwatch art team described the collaboration as a passion project, with Gundam being a "bucket list IP" for many artists involved. Early concepts included Tallgeese Ana, Heavyarms Mauga/Zarya, and a pilot D.Va, but these were ultimately not chosen as final skins.
