[REVIEW] Star Wars: Hunters

Star Wars: Hunters - Fun Blast or Grind fest?
Ever wish you could blast away with a lightsaber or dodge blaster bolts on your phone? Star Wars: Hunters is here to let you do just that! This free game throws you into quick, chaotic battles with iconic Star Wars settings and a mix of familiar faces and wacky new characters. But is it all lightsabers and laughs, or does it turn into a bit of a drag?
Star Wars: Hunters nails the Star Wars feel. Classic music and sound effects make you feel like you're right in the action, and the oddball cast of characters - from bounty hunters to Jawas in a trench coat (seriously!) - will keep you chuckling. Matches are short and sweet, perfect for phone breaks or a fun hangout with friends on your Switch.

The shooting is a blast, but Star Wars: Hunters isn't the most complex game. There are a few different battle modes, but they're basically your typical team deathmatch and capture-the-flag stuff. Ranked mode exists, but it gets repetitive because only a few characters are truly powerful.

This is where things get a little funky. New characters, the coolest unlocks, are mostly gotten with crystals, the game's fancy money. Earning crystals for free feels like a slow crawl, tempting you to spend real cash. The regular money, credits, can only buy a few things, making the whole reward system feel kind of stingy.

Star Wars: Hunters is a fun way to spend a few minutes blasting away. The Star Wars setting is awesome, and the shooting is undeniably fun. But the lack of complexity and the push to spend money might make you look elsewhere for a long-term game. If you want a casual Star Wars fix for your phone, this might be your droid. But for a super deep and rewarding shooter experience, you might want to keep looking.
