Kia Philippines has discontinued the Picanto hatchback from its lineup. The hatchback is no longer listed on the company's official website or price list.
The Picanto was Kia's smallest vehicle offering in the Philippines. However, it seems that crossovers have become the preferred choice for a daily driver, and Kia is now focusing on offering these high-riding vehicles instead.
There are still a few units of the Picanto left at some Kia dealerships, but these are just the remaining stocks. Kia does not have plans to offer the facelifted version of the Picanto in the Philippines.
It is possible that Kia is following in the footsteps of its parent brand Hyundai, which has also discontinued its small passenger cars in the Philippines. Hyundai is now focusing on offering crossover SUVs and MPVs.
