MOS is a non-profit organization formed in 1997 by dedicated and passionate artists and art lovers. The festival aims to foster connections within the global artistic community and to promote street art as a form of self-expression and social commentary.
The Taguig leg of MOS will feature the work of 50 artists, 40 of whom are local. The artists will use shipping containers that served as quarantine facilities during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as their canvas.
The festival is expected to attract a large crowd of art lovers and tourists. It is also expected to inspire creative individuals, particularly the youth, to pursue art.
Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano said that the city is committed to becoming a transformative, lively, and caring city. She said that the city's artists also play a vital role in promoting Taguig as a creative hub in the country.
"During our three-day event, we will witness the works and masterpieces of different artists. The shipping containers, which previously served as quarantine facilities, will now serve as their canvas, breathing new life into the TLC Park," Cayetano said.
She said she expects the event to inspire creative individuals, particularly the youth, to pursue art.
"We also aspire for the Meeting of Styles to continue as an avenue that brings people together and supports intercultural exchange. And here in the City of Taguig, we will continue to celebrate art in all its forms," Cayetano said.
