A new workaround allows you to pre-purchase PlayStation Plus Premium at a significant discount—at least for the time being
Sony introduced its redesigned "PlayStation Plus" membership service last week, with three distinct rates that allow you to play games online and access exclusive games. If you want access to all games, including PS2, PS3, and PSP choices, you'll have to pay $120 a year for a membership. Unless you employ this workaround, of course.
PlayStation Plus Premium effectively combines the current PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now services: the former provides access to online playback with certain exclusive titles, while the latter provides access to a plethora of games. As a result, when the program launches in June, Sony will automatically convert any current PlayStation Now account into a PlayStation Plus Premium account.
That got people thinking: why not sign up for PlayStation Now for a year for $60 and save $120 on an account that was meant to cost $120? While the rationale was sound, Sony was one step ahead of the game. Except for the monthly pricing, the business has removed the option to purchase PlayStation Now: you may still subscribe for $10 per month, but it comes out to the same $120 per year that PlayStation Plus Premium costs.
Wario64, a deal hunter, posted some good news: Sony was still providing the yearly PlayStation Now membership, but only through a specific URL. If you click that link and login in to your PlayStation account, you'll be able to subscribe to Now for a year, which will automatically upgrade to a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription at no additional cost.

will convert to PlayStation Plus Premium in June ($119.99 a year value. includes ~400 PS4/PS5 games and ~340 PS1/PS2/PS3/PSP games) https://t.co/9SLXpURqjR pic.twitter.com/HuHUaY1hpf
The transaction, however, does not end there. These subscriptions, it turns out, may be stacked on top of one other. Because your purchase is linked to your PlayStation account, you will be able to purchase PlayStation Now for the following year. While no limit has been identified, some users have piled their memberships all the way until 2031, according to IGN.
Because PlayStation Now converts to PlayStation Plus Premium in just two months, you're basically purchasing the more expensive subscription for half the price. For someone paying $120 a year for Premium, you'd spend $1,080 from launch through 2031. Using this approach, you'd spend half that amount, $540, saving more than $500.
The word is already out, so it's only a matter of time until Sony makes the executive choice to destroy this connection and the offer that comes with it. If you're going to subscribe to Premium anyhow, you should take use of this workaround while you still can.
How to Get a 50% Discount on PlayStation Plus Premium Right Now
Go to this URL in your browser if you want to save a lot of money on PlayStation Plus Premium (do not access via the PlayStation app). Sign in to your PlayStation account, then proceed to the sites where you may purchase a year of PlayStation Now. You may then stack as many more years of PlayStation Now (basically PlayStation Plus Premium) as you like, saving 50% each time.
