Marvel's Spider-Man VS DC's Static Shock

These teenage turbines light up this fight in the electrifying season premiere of Death Battle!

Miles Gonzalo Morales is a fictional comic book superhero appearing in publications by the American publisher Marvel Comics, and one of the characters known as Spider-Man. The character was created in 2011 by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, with input by Marvel's then-editor-in-chief Axel Alonso.

Miles Morales first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 (August 2011), following the death of Peter Parker. An Afro-Latino teenager, Miles is the second Spider-Man to appear in Ultimate Marvel, an imprint with a separate continuity from the mainstream Marvel Universe. Although Morales featured in the Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man comic book series, he is not the lead character in the Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series that debuted in April 2012 on Disney XD, but he was later added to the main cast in 2016. He is the main character in the 2018 feature film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. After Marvel ended the Ultimate imprint in 2015, Miles was made a character in the main Marvel Universe, and began appearing in stories under the All-New, All-Different Marvel branding that debuted that same year.

Static is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Even though the character, a creation of Milestone Comics founders Dwayne McDuffie, Denys Cowan, Michael Davis, and Derek Dingle, was initially written by McDuffie and Robert L. Washington III and illustrated by John Paul Leon, the character was based on a real person by the name "Virgil Darnell Hawkins". Static's first appearance was made in Static #1 (June 1993) in the Modern Age of Comic Books. Virgil Ovid Hawkins is a member of a fictional subspecies of humans with superhuman abilities known as metahumans. Not born with his powers, Hawkins' abilities develop after an incident exposes him to a radioactive chemical. This event renders him capable of electromagnetic control and generation.
