Hotel Artemis is just like a The Continental Hotel in John Wick
The purpose of Hotel Artemis is to cure and hospitalized Criminals and alike, but with exclusive membership only, and yes NO Outsiders. A secret and great place to hide, a Hospital for Criminals.
The Movie sets in the year 2028, Hotel established 22 years since then. There are more hotel like The Artemis in the world, all of those allowed Members Only to enter the premises. Members have an Electronic Micro Chips, implanted on their wrist and need to scan before entering. The Hotel was built and run by two things, Trust and Rules.
Hotel Artemis has its own set of rules as follows:
1. While on the premises, no fighting with or killing other patients.
2. No disrespectful words or actions allowed against Hotel Artemis staff.
3. No guns or any type of weapon permitted through the gates.
4. Membership must be paid for, full and in advance.
5. Prior but lapsed members will not be admitted
6. No photography or video allowed.
7. No outside food or drink.
8. Absolutely no visitors.
9. If member is found to have compromised, or led to compromise of location, membership will be revoked.
10. Hotel Artemis rules are final and non-negotiable.
The Hotel Artemis have only 2 Employee, One, they called them as “NURSE”, but its more of a Doctor as she do everything related to Medicine, and the other is what is kind of real Nurse, but he is all around Buddy, from aiding NURSE, to a security personnel around the hotel.
Nurse was played by 2-time Academy Award winner Jodie Foster, which had an Anxiety problem, because of losing her Son.
In addition, the other is Everest played by Dave Bautista from WWE and Guardians Of The Galaxy. He present himself as a Certified Healthcare Professional. He keeps the peace, around the hotel.
As others would say, "Obey the Rules, or You pay the Price". So what went wrong if someone broke a rule? What will happen if someone broke not just one rule? The Answer, There will be War.
The movie executes the fight scene very well, nicely choreographed. Like the Lady in Red named Nice, played by Sofia Boutella from Kingsman: The Secret Service and Atomic Blonde. When she says: "Don't cross my Line".
