When Superman gone Rouge
Brightburn is a story of an alien young boy fell from the sky with his space ship landed on earth and a couple found him and raised him as their own child.
Does it ring a bell? Well it is the same story of Superman or Clark Kent fell from the sky to the farm of Smallville, with a couple named Jonathan and Martha Kent.
Same introduction, the kid discovers his super human powers, just like Superman, he can fly, strength, speed, and laser beams coming from his eyes.
But the sad part is, Brandon, the kid from Brightburn, took a different path, look a different perspective and logic, He believes that he must Take The World, he also stated that “When bad things happen to People, it’s for a good reason”.
The Movie is good, maybe not that Horror type of Movie, but more on jump-scare movie. You just keep on watching, and waiting for the next victim, because you knew Brandon is indestructible.
So in this movie, we can imagine how bad can Superman can be. However, why we keeps on comparing Brandon to Superman, besides from their similarities in Origin, and Superpowers?
Maybe because we Idolizes Superman very much, we know he is a good guy, always helping and saving people, that idea was feature in the Elseworld of What If series of DC Comics.
