In our opinion will depends on how you need the device, if you want to just take a picture in a snap, with no other editing on it, and easily share it to your social media pages, then smartphone is just right for you, but if you need to precise about the image, the details of each pictures you take, then use a DSLR.
Yes Smartphones are always in developing to match the quality of a picture produced by DSLR, but hey, manufacturers of DSLR also develops their cameras to give more and more features better than the previous one they have, so there will be no end to this.
