Alibaba jumps into eSports

Alibaba Sports Group, under the Alibaba the eCommerce site is now partnered with YuuZoo Corporation from Singapore to start a series of eSports Tournaments.

Alibaba Sports Group, under the Alibaba the eCommerce site is now partnered with YuuZoo Corporation from Singapore to start a series of eSports Tournaments.
It will be called AliSports World Electronic Sports Games or WESG, the tournaments is targeted to start this April, and will feature games namely DOTA 2, CS:GO, StarCraft 2, and Hearhstone.

The following is the initial Cash Prize and could grow with the help of crowd funding:
  • $1.5 million for CSGO
  • $1.5 million for Dota 2
  • $400,000 for StarCraft 2
  • $300,000 for Hearthstone
YuuZoo Corporation is a Chinese company which builds mobile based eCommerce apps, which headquarters on Singapore.

While Alibaba Sports Group or ASG is launched in September 2015 and since, and one of its goals is to aquire license for Merchandise and to sel through its own eCommerce site.
